Chalk paint – Wattle is a stunning green that brings the outdoors in. Chalk Paint is so versatile. Use it on furniture, tiles, even fabric. Mezzie and Frank chalk paint is self-priming, so preparation of furniture is minimal and fuss-free; no prior sanding or priming is required on most finished surfaces. Tannin rich timbers may require an oil or spirit based stain block to prevent leaching. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust and peeling paint. In most cases a light sand will be enough to create the surface for chalk paint to adhere to.
Wattle is the colour of the Australian bush flower and is fantastic for use in children’s rooms or on outdoor furniture. Blending with greens and yellows, use Mezzie and Frank Wattle to brighten up any corner of a room, or outdoor space. Team this up with Daintree, Sunshine and Eucalyptus for some colour blending or mix and match furniture pieces.
Apply directly to most surfaces e.g. painted, veneer, timber, brick, concrete, stone or metal. Paint adheres to most surfaces without the need for priming. The chalk paint is then set with finishing Carnauba wax or acrylic sealer.
One litre of Mezzie and Frank will cover 11 to 14 sq. metres depending on the surface texture, application technique and wastage rates.
Simply rinse the brushes in clean water making sure that runoff does not enter drains.
