Chalk Paint Colours
Green chalk paint at it’s best is Mezzie and Frank’s Eucalyptus Chalk Paint. Eucalyptus was used as part of the layers of paint to renovate the pictured writing desk and side table. This soft, pale green is perfect for outdoor furniture, plant stands, or as a subtle point of colour in an otherwise neutral environment. I have used it on a meat safe and as the under colour on a distressed table with white over the top, then rubbed back to reveal both the Eucalyptus and the white.
Mezzie and Frank paint is effectively self-priming, so preparation of furniture is minimal and fuss-free; no prior sanding or priming is required on most finished surfaces. Tannin rich timbers may require an oil or spirit based stain block to prevent leaching.
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust and peeling paint.
Apply directly to most surfaces e.g. painted, veneer, timber, brick, concrete, stone or metal. Paint adheres to most surfaces without the need for priming. Remember to always sand lightly between coats and always finish or seal your piece with Carnauba Wax or with Acrylic sealer.
One litre of Mezzie and Frank Chalk paint will cover 11 to 14 sq. metres depending on the surface texture, application technique and wastage rates.
Simply rinse the brushes in clean water making sure that runoff does not enter drains.
